Nutty Toffee Apples

Ingredients

6 Cox apples

6 Small wooden lolly sticks

8oz Granulated sugar
-
1oz Butter
-
4floz Cold Water
-
2Tbsp Golden Syrup

4Tbsp Finely Chopped Nature's table Mixed Nuts.
Method

Push the wooden sticks half way into the apple at the stalk end.

Dissolve the sugar in the water.

Add Butter & Syrup to the mixture & bring to the boil. Continue to boil without stirring, until the mixture reaches 275F/140c. (Use a sugar thermometer to measure this.)

Remove pan from Heat & gently stir in the nuts.

Carefully dip each apple into the mixture & evenly coat. Place on a tray lined with Baking parchment and allow to fully cool.
